Sport tourism is a part of tourism that is placed and refers to people traveling to a destination in order to attend a sporting event. Sports tourism is an integral part of global tourism with particular importance for the country of the sporting events. Events such as the Olympics, the F1 Grand Prix, the FIFA World Cup, the Grand Tennis and more are the images to promote the destination. People belonging to all age groups are interested in sports tourism.
Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists traveling to attend international sporting events. Sport tourism is divided into two forms. The former is like spectators and the second is where people visit the country to take part in sports activities.
Sport tourism is considered tourism, which is planned by individuals in order to attend or participate in various sporting events. It is a tourism focused on sport. In most cases, they are interested in sport from the initial phase, from the point where the venue is announced.
Sport tourism has great economic benefits for the host country of the sporting event. However, there may also be some risks, such as terrorist attacks.
