Βιολογική καλλιέργεια κηπευτικών θερμοκηπίου στο νομό Ρεθύμνου (Bachelor thesis)

The purpose of this study was to highlight the importance of organic cultivation of various vegetables, namely tomato, eggplant and lettuce in the prefecture of Rethymnon. The concept of organic farming was initially defined. Codes of good agricultural practice and regulations governing organic farming were mentioned. Its organic crop, namely the mild, environmentally friendly crop, which does not use chemical pesticides and fertilizers, is in high demand. Both tomato cultivation and the other two crops are very important for our country but for some countries abroad. The friendly climate of Rethymnon favors the development of these crops giving excellent quality and high production. The enemies of the crops developed in this study may be insects, fungi, bacteriological, viral diseases, weeds, but all can be treated in alternative, ecological ways, without the use of pesticides, always in accordance with regulations 2092/91, 834 / 2007 and 998/2008, defining the authorized formulations.
