This paper discusses the practices applied by primary education teachers to manage students with depressive events. In the theoretical part, an extensive bibliographic review of the subject was made. More specifically, the first chapter provides a historical overview of depression in general, the necessary definitions and forms. In the second chapter, childhood depression was defined and its parts investigated. More specifically, its diagnostic criteria and theories were presented. Then the causes of childhood depression were investigated, as well as its manifestations and other disorders associated with it. Finally, the difficulties faced by children with depressive events were presented. The third chapter of the theoretical part concerns the management of students with depressive events at school. Initially, the effect of depressive events on school life and the recognition of these manifestations are described. Then, the ways of management are presented, both by the school as a whole and by the class teacher in particular. The research part follows, where the purpose and individual objectives of this research are set out. Some details of the research process are presented in detail, such as information about the participants, how it was conducted and the problems it may have encountered. Then, the data is analyzed and the conclusions are drawn. Finally, ideas for future research on the subject of work are suggested.
