Healthcare services that come either from private or public bodies have an obligation to meet their consumers- patients preferences as they are shaped by values, standards and the developments that make up a society. Human Resource Management includes strategies and the theoretical background for the management of human resources, which concerns selection, recruitment, certification, retention and professional advancement. In terms of human resources, this is an important advantage and element of an organization, because its employees contribute to the realization of its goals.
Job satisfaction is a mixture of emotions that affects the individual. Job satisfaction refers to the pleasant emotional state that results from the appreciation of a person’s work. People who are not satisfied with their work have a greater tendency to resign than people who are happy with their work.
The purpose of the present study is to record the job satisfaction of nursing staff in a private health care unit, such as “Euromedica Kuanous Stavros”. The final sample of the study consisted of 100 nursing staff and the results showed that overall job satisfaction can be described as above average, while respondents largely answered that they are satisfied with the nature of the work, the supervision- support and the relationship with colleagues. While less satisfaction is shown by promotion opportunities and working conditions.
