The subject of this thesis is «Innovation in education and Greek reality» and it is analyzed as follows: In Chapter 1, the «Introductory concepts» provide general information on the subject, the theoretical framework, the purpose and method of writing this thesis. Chapter 2: «International Vision of Educational Innovation» proposes the concept of creativity and innovation, the achievement of creativity and innovation in education (encouraging children to find the answer, children learn, teachers observe, focus on a project instead of many projects, focus on concept, every idea is patent, use of design tools and methods), the importance of innovation in the school unit, the methods of creativity and innovation in education and finally the books overview of the subject. Chapter 3: «Educational Innovation in Greek Education» introduces introductions, innovative school curricula (innovative interdisciplinary programs, health education, European mobility education programs, flexible zone) and a critical review of the current situation. Chapter 4: «Primary Evaluation Research for Innovative Programs in Greek Schools» lists the introductory elements of the research process, research: approach and questions, research tool, questionnaire structure, research sample and questionnaire reliability check. Chapter 5: «Analysis of research results» presents socio-demographic data (gender, age, qualifications, foreign language holder, years of education, job status, current school status), information on the usefulness of innovation in education (the ease of use of an innovative curriculum, interaction with innovative curricula, flexible innovative curricula, the acquisition of skills for the use of an innovative curriculum), one for ease of acceptance of innovation in education (use of an innovative curriculum and work at any time outside of school hours, possibility of faster educational process of innovative curriculum, visible results of using an innovative curriculum), degree data satisfaction with innovation in education (degree of utilization of information and communication technologies in the daily lesson, familiarization with the environmental education, health education, cultural / student artistic competitions, career / youth entrepreneurship, mathematical competitions, educational robotics, European Comenius action, e-twinning, Erasmus, twinning, student science Olympiads / European conferences / competitions), cross-examination (qualifications and need for innovation and change in school, years of service in education and need for innovation, etc.) LAGIE school, service status and existence of the need for innovation and change in school, current position in school and being the need for innovation and change in school, years of service in education and ease of use of an innovative educational program). In the sixth and final chapter, the «Conclusions» are summarized in the survey results.
