The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concepts of leadership and emotional intelligence, and in particular to investigate the extent of the school leader's emotional intelligence according to his or her perception. The objective of this work is not simply to define leadership but to describe its nature, principles, and beliefs and to make a difference to management, to describe what Emotional Intelligence is, and how it relates with leadership but also how important it is to Education Management. In the present work, an analysis of leadership styles is made, while the concept of "Emotional Intelligence" is explored in the light of Daniel Goleman. From the quote, it is understood that there is not a leadership style that is effective in all situations and for all managers, but each leadership style is appropriate at different times and in different conditions and must be combined with those who possess Emotional Intelligence. To this end, empirical research was conducted in the area of school unit managers. Our aim was to study with a research on whether male and female managers consider emotional intelligence equally important and whether this view differs from gender. The results showed that there is generally no difference in Emotional Intelligence skills between male and female Directors and Managers, nor is Emotional Intelligence something that distinguishes specific age groups of education executives.
