Jumping exercise protocols have been shown to contribute positively to
the prevention of osteoporosis and bone health in general in young men and especially in women, in whom osteoporosis is very common. However, a necessary condition for having the desired results is the long-term involvement with plyometric gymnastics but also more specifically with the training with depth jumps which according to research produce more significant ground reaction forces than other
types of jumps. In the current study, depth jumps were used to maximize mechanical stimulation to the skeletal system in an intervention of just 5 weeks. The aim of the research is to investigate and draw conclusions regarding the intervention of depth jumps in the bone density of young people in the short term.
