Η σχολική διαρροή των ευάλωτων κοινωνικών ομάδων (Ε.Κ.Ο.) Ρομά στη Νέα Σμύρνη Λάρισας (Master thesis)

This thesis is a research project on the problems and causes of school leavers / three Roma students in the district (Damaria) of N. Smyrni Larissa from the parents' point of view. The methodological tool used is quantitative research with some expressions of qualitative research and the research subjects are Roma parents. The work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical and methodological identity of the study. In the first chapter, a review of the historical, cultural and cultural elements of the Roma is made. The next chapter deals with school leakage, factors, and ways to cope. Following is a discussion of educational policy and intercultural education, such as prerequisites, institutional framework and educational interventions. Finally, the next chapter describes the study area, lifestyle, other characteristics of the area and various cross-sectional comparative data. The second part presents the research data of the analysis, provides some conclusions about the approach of the field of school leakage and Gypsy education in relation to the opinions and important information collected by the Roma parents involved in the research. The analysis will partially investigate the reasons that appear and address leakage and school leakage. Factors that cause irregular attendance are also sought, as well as ways to improve education conditions. The preferred way of communicating on both sides, Roma students and parents, while the content of the questionnaire questions differs depending on the issues that arise. The present research could be a reason for further research efforts on the subject, and its results could be used as a means of mobilizing the institutions for further collaborations to achieve the goals of improving school leavers for Roma students.
