Η σχολική κουλτούρα ως παράμετρος προώθησης του εκπαιδευτικού έργου στο σύγχρονο σχολείο (Master thesis)

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to highlight the school culture as a parameter for the promotion of educational work in the modern school, exploring the perceptions and views of primary school teachers. The work refers to the role and importance of school culture, in order to highlight the importance of the concept and the necessity of its existence in all schools. First, the meaning, levels, forms and functions of school culture are analyzed. Furthermore, the term school climate is conceptually clarified and the internal and external dimensions of school culture are presented. Then, the importance of school culture and its contribution to the effective operation of the school unit is listed. The work refers to the role of the school leadership of the school unit, the relationship between the school leadership and the teachers, the role of the teachers in shaping the school culture and the cooperation of the teachers with their colleagues and the parents of the students. Suggestions are given for the improvement of the school culture, the management of the classroom and the material and technical infrastructure and safety of the school unit. This is followed by the statistical analysis in SPSS of the data collected from the responses of 117 participants, who completed an electronic questionnaire. After the analysis of the results of the research, in which correlations are made between the questions regarding gender, years of service, employment and the additional studies of the participants in addition to the basic degree, the results are commented and at the end come the conclusions and suggestions for further study.
