Admittedly, the modern age consists of a variety of social institutions and especially of a
complexity of interpersonal relationships. The challenges that people as actors are called upon to
face on a daily basis require a high degree of coordination of actions, each time oriented towards
a different goal. In any case, what is required for a positive outcome of every effort made arises
through the existence of a specific program and coverage of the individual aspects contained in it.
The launch and final implementation of any desired change both on a personal and social level,
accompanies over time with the construction and evolution of knowledge.
A corresponding aim is found in the way in which a modern Greek educational unit
operates. Central to any policy plan for Greek education is the preparation and shaping of
tomorrow's active citizens, an action which takes place on a daily basis and is approached
methodically. An organization that is framed and enriched both cognitively and didactically creates
respectively the necessary guarantees for the transmission of knowledge to young students. We
believe that the administrative management of the educational issues that arise gathers a special
dynamic, because through targeted interventions the desired goals of the state can be realized in
practice, while at the same time the school will develop into a learning organization.
The main object of this work is the investigation of the factors that shape a learning culture
in modern educational units in Greece, in combination with finding correlation, cultivation and
development of the specific culture of development in them. In addition, the reference to optimal
administrative and decision-making techniques is considered particularly useful, as it contributes
to the transformation of a school unit into a modern and competitive educational unit. A first
evaluation leads us to the conclusion that the challenges in the field of education are many and
different from each other, but in any case achievable, as we believe that the modern Greek school
can fulfill them with realism and a specific plan.
