The present dissertation was implemented in the framework of the postgraduate program "Administration and Organization of Educational Units" of the International University of Greece - Sindos Area, with the theme "Evening Schools in Greece, their timeless presence and their contribution to social and professional development". Education in the Evening schools has a long history in the wider educational system of Greek children. It first appeared in 1872 in Greece. It has shaped generations of students, mainly adults, employees, most of them heads of families, and has played an important role over the years until today. Like Day Education, it has undergone radical changes and reforms due to socio-economic, political changes in the country but also global needs and requirements. The purpose of the work is to highlight the offer of knowledge and contribution of the Evening High Schools - mainly Vocational (EPAL) - in the professional development of graduates in recent years in the labor market and in upgrading their quality of life. This paper consists of two parts. More specifically, the theoretical part includes: a) the introduction, b) the Bibliographic review where the education in the Evening Lyceums is mentioned, mainly in the EPAL, c) a brief historical review from their foundation in 1872 until today, d) the necessity and the reasons for the existence of the Evening Lyceums mainly for the adults, e) the structure and departments of the Evening Vocational High Schools, f)the difficulties of attending the Evening EPAL and the modules, g) Basic Learning Theories, h) Compensatory Education. The research part includes the research methodology with the method of quantitative analysis based on a questionnaire, a survey conducted on 120 graduates of Evening High Schools of Thessaloniki and Kavala. Specifically: a) research questions, b) the description of a research tool-SPSS-Superior Performance Program- applying methods such as correlation, likert scale), c) the conclusions-discussion, d) research constraints, e) the questionnaire.
