One of the most dominant speculations in today’s education system both in national and international scale, is the evaluation of the educational work, as a measure of feedback that leads not only to the further improvement of educational experience and functionality, but also in the business development of the teachers. The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to broaden the teacher’s view regarding the crucial subject of evaluation in current education models and emphasize under which conditions it can become more effective. The research took place in June 2020. The methodology used is the “quantitative method of data analysis” and the tool used for data collection is the questionnaire while using at the same time the IBM SPSS Statistics Data Editor for the data analysis. The final sample of the survey constituted a total of 130 teachers who were employed in public schools in the Primary Education of R.U. of Kozani. The survey’s results indicate the teacher’s positivise reaction towards evaluation and, especially, self-evaluation of their school units. They mostly consent to a form of evaluation that has the teachers and the School Director taking the leading role, leaving space for cooperation and team spirit to prosper. Finally, an interesting result occurred from the research points out the existence of immediate interaction between self-evaluation and the annual planning and evaluation of the educational work that is carried out in every school-unit.
