Παρακίνηση και διαχείριση ομάδας σε Κέντρα Δημιουργικής Απασχόλησης για άτομα με αναπηρία (ΚΔΑΠ ΜΕΑ) (Master thesis)

Through the years, many researches, related to the employees’ motivation, have been conducted. However, until now, there has not been any research considering the motivation of the workforce in KDAP MEA. The present assignment is about the factors that motivate the employees of KDAP MEA, as also the conflict management that takes place in this workplace on behalf of the supervisor. Also, this research highlights the different opinions of the workforce for their supervisor, and the role he has working in this position. The research was based on the sample of 108 people from different specialties, who work in KDAP MEA, in different places in Greece. The research tool for the collection of the data is the questionnaire. The research tool which was used for the processing and statistical analysis of the data in the research is the statistical program SPSS. According to the results of the research, generally, people who work in KDAP MEA are motivated enough and the factors of this motivation are the recognition of how important is their job, and the good relations they have with their colleagues. The most important findings of the research are related to what the employees consider about the most effective ways of motivation, the positive situation in the workplace, as also the teamwork. The most important reason of conflicts is the feeling of injustice. Also, other important reasons are the bad communication and the organisation weaknesses. However, the way of management that the workforce receives from the supervisor, are the techniques used by the heads of the structures of Special Education, according to the needs of the employees, and mostly the compromise and the way the authority is used in order the structure to operate in a peaceful way, the collaboration and avoidance of management of conflicts. As far as the roles the supervisor of KDAP MEA should have is concerned, the respondents answered that they do not respond to their expectations. Lastly, the research has shown that the total motivation is influenced by the years of work experience in KDAP MEA, the work relations and the age of the people who work in.
