The aim of the dissertation that follows is to investigate the serious problem of obesity and the ways to deal with it. Obesity is now a disease for which science is constantly researching to find ways to treat, prevent and inform the population. The first chapter analyzes basic definitions such as obesity, its units of measurement, while a brief historical review and epidemiological overview is given. The third chapter follows with the etiology, classification and factors of the spread of obesity. We move on to the fourth chapter where the analysis of the treatment of obesity using machines, massage and surgery begins. The fifth chapter follows with the mention of exercise as a strong ally in the treatment of obesity, as well as the methodology of the required exercises, the sixth chapter deals with the metabolism and the nutrients that should be included in the diet.
