Η δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη Σίνδου «Χαράλαμπος Λυσαρίδης» : οργάνωση (καταλογογράφηση,ταξινόμηση και θεματική ευρετηρίαση) του υλικού της στο αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα διαχείρισης βιβλιοθηκών KOHA - Μέρος 3° (Bachelor thesis)

This thesis is a continuation of the group effort to create an electronic catalogue for the
Municipal Library of Sindos. In short, it concerns the organization and library processing of the
material from the import of the documents, to the process of cataloguing, subject indexing and
classification in the automated Koha system, to the physical processing of the material to make it
ready for public use.
The first chapter provides an introduction to libraries, and in particular to municipal
libraries, in terms of their history, basic characteristics and services.
The second chapter contains general information about the Municipal Library of Sindos
"Charalambos Lysarides", both about its history and its current state.
The third chapter discusses the process of preparing the thesis, the methods and the
overall steps that were carried out for the processing of the printed material of the library.
The fourth chapter analyses the open source software Koha, its electronic environment
and the process of cataloguing the records in the system.
The fifth chapter presents all the records entered in the electronic catalogue.
Finally, in the sixth chapter, indexes of Greek and foreign authors, titles and established
topics as well as the bibliography are available.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αποτελεί συνέχεια της ομαδικής προσπάθειας για τη
δημιουργία ενός ηλεκτρονικού καταλόγου στη Δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη Σίνδου.
Εν συντομία, αφορά την οργάνωση και τη βιβλιοθηκονομική επεξεργασία του υλικού
από την εισαγωγή των τεκμηρίων, στην διαδικασία της καταλογογράφησης, θεματικής
ευρετηρίασης και ταξινόμησης στο αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα Koha, έως και τη φυσική
επεξεργασία του υλικού για να είναι έτοιμο για χρήση από το κοινό.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο παρατίθεται μια εισαγωγή για τις βιβλιοθήκες και ειδικότερα για
τις δημοτικές, όσον αφορά τα ιστορικά τους στοιχεία, τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά καθώς και τις
υπηρεσίες τους.
Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναφέρονται οι γενικές πληροφορίες για τη δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη
Σίνδου «Χαράλαμπος Λυσαρίδης», τόσο για την ιστορία της όσο και για την τωρινή κατάσταση
της.
Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται λόγος για τη διαδικασία εκπόνησης της εργασίας, τις
μεθόδους και τα συνολικά βήματα που εκτελέστηκαν για την επεξεργασία του έντυπου υλικού
της βιβλιοθήκης.
Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο αναλύεται το ανοιχτό λογισμικό Koha, το ηλεκτρονικό του
περιβάλλον και η πορεία της καταλογογράφησης των εγγραφών στο σύστημα.
Στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται όλες οι εγγραφές που καταχωρήθηκαν στον
ηλεκτρονικό κατάλογο.
Τέλος, στο έκτο κεφάλαιο, διατίθενται τα ευρετήρια των Ελλήνων και ξένων
