Science and Technology Parks due to their nature, are important receptors for the development of research and innovation. Various types of companies and entities can be established within them, such as newly established innovative ones, techno-sprout companies, various research centers and organizations, ensuring access to ready building infrastructure, to highly specialized standard technologies, to financial programs and so on. This thesis is an attempt to present the scientific and business parks in Greece, from the perspective of their establishment, their operation, the benefits they offer, the activity of companies in accordance with innovation, but also the overall work which is produced in those research centers. In particular, a questionnaire was created with the aim to be addressed to the companies operating in the Science and Technology Parks, as for the relationship between research and innovation, the fields in which they became more competitive while being in the park and any inhibiting factors that hindered their innovation effort. Moreover, improvement proposals were put forward which in order to attract more companies so as to contribute to a perspective development of the parks. Thus, based on the results we gathered, it was found that most companies are hosted in the incubators of the parks and they are newly established companies with an innovative orientation. In addition, a number of them encountered obstacles such as various financial risks and the recent health crisis. Last but not least, a number of suggestions had been put into account so the Science and Technology Parks can be improved. The most important is the necessity of the existence of more incentives and initiatives for the companies and the cooperation among responsible contributors for the development of Science and Technology Parks.
