The school units are “living organisms” and strongly connected to the society and the developments that change it. Undeniably, the 21st century is the century of technology “break-out”, with significant technological inventions and modernization of many procedures done with the traditional way so far. Schools couldn’t have been unaffected as due to modern technology many educational and administrative procedures have changed. Although it’s not a fact that teachers make the most of the potential that technological development offers to them because factors like the technological availability and their personal knowledge of technology affect it. Moreover an important clue is the view that teachers have of the technologies already included in the teaching reality so far. The development of ICT in Greek school units is displayed in this essay through bibliography and a structured survey tries to figure out the usage of ICT by teachers as well as their opinion about them.
