Διαδίκτυο και διαπολιτισμική εκπαίδευση (Master thesis)

The demands of the rapidly evolving modern society, coupled with the technological progress, cannot leave the educational community indifferent. In this context, it is important to adopt the principles of Connectivism or, alternatively, interconnected learning, whereby learning can be understood as a 'network' phenomenon influenced by technology and socialization. Moreover, the parallel adoption of the principles and practices of Intercultural Education, such as respect for diversity and cooperation between individuals of different cultures, is a very important matter. In this context, there has been conducted a research about the recognition of the importance and the potential for adoption of Connectivism and Intercultural Education practices, as well as, the goal was to measure the satisfaction of participating teachers regarding their training and training of their associates. In general, teachers reckon that it is important to adopt intercultural education practices, and they are also eager to use the tools of Connectivism in this regard, but they appear to be unsatisfied with the level of training their colleagues seem to have on the field.

| Abstract: | Οι επιταγές της ταχύτατα εξελισσόμενης σύγχρονης κοινωνίας, σε συνδυασμό με την αλματώδη τεχνολογική πρόοδο, δε μπορεί να αφήσουν ανεπηρέαστη την εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο είναι σημαντική η υιοθέτηση των αρχών του Κονεκτιβισμού ή, διαφορετικά, της διασυνδεδεμένης μάθησης, σύμφωνα με τις οποίες η εκμάθηση μπορεί να νοηθεί ως ένα φαινόμενο «δικτύου» που επηρεάζεται από την τεχνολογία και την κοινωνικοποίηση. Σημαντική είναι, επίσης, η παράλληλη υιοθέτηση των αρχών και των πρακτικών που διέπουν τη Διαπολιτισμική Εκπαίδευση, όπως ο σεβασμός προς την ετερότητα και η συνεργασία μεταξύ ατόμων διαφορετικών πολιτισμών. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, πραγματοποιήθηκε έρευνα, η οποία δομήθηκε γύρω από την αναγνώριση της σημασίας και την πιθανότητα υιοθέτησης των πρακτικών του Κονεκτιβισμού και της Διαπολιτισμικής Εκπαίδευσης, καθώς επίσης, μετρήθηκε η ικανοποίηση των συμμετέχοντων εκπαιδευτικών σχετικά με τη δική τους σχετική κατάρτιση και την κατάρτιση των συναδέλφων τους. Γενικά, διαπιστώθηκε ότι οι εκπαιδευτικοί θεωρούν εξέχουσας σημασίας την υιοθέτηση των πρακτικών της διαπολιτισμικής εκπαίδευσης, ενώ είναι πρόθυμοι να αξιοποιήσουν και τα εργαλεία του Κονεκτιβισμού προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, ωστόσο, φαίνεται ότι δεν είναι ικανοποιημένοι από το επίπεδο της σχετικής κατάρτισης των συναδέλφων τους.
