In this research, we are going to start a journey on the analysis of communication and its special way in affecting politics, marketing, advertisement and our everyday lives. To begin with, we will try to analyze basic concepts, related to communication in its core, politics and political communication. Also, contemporary use of internet and social media are going to be researched, in order to get to know them better and have a deeper understanding of them. Additionally, fundamental theories and practices of marketing, political marketing, advertising and especially political advertising are going to be presented and analyzed. At the end of this paper, based on all above theory, are going to be examined the ways in which three Greek politicians and three Italians, are using advertisement and social media during their political campaigns. Research, is followed by conclusions and suggestions for future research.
