It is true that the need for energy on the planet is greater than ever. Among other things, over-consumption has left its mark on the ecological footprint and climate change has begun to affect humanity more and more. So, more than ever, the debate around the environment and sustainability rotates around the adoption of new structural changes in the way this whole issue is addressed. Addressing this issue is a multifactorial equation that is becoming increasingly difficult for the scientific world. The principle for solving this equation is called renewable energy sources or RES for short. Renewable energy sources are the only way to directly supply humanity with energy on a large scale, at the lowest possible cost to the environment and to future generations. Among other renewable energy sources, solar energy is a renewable source that we could use through photovoltaic systems, thus ensuring the protection of the environment at the lowest possible cost. Photovoltaic systems are the main representative for the exploitation of solar energy. Nowadays, such systems are being used to a great extent, which has a positive impact on the protection of the planet. According to the financial perspective, is a photovoltaic solar system a profitable investment, on an individual or collective level? Taking everything above into consideration, this study aims to answer to the above question. Specifically, we will focus on the economy of an interconnected 100 kW photovoltaic park by making a financial analysis and evaluation of this investment.
