Σχεδιασμός online βιβλιοθήκης

Abstract

This paper revealed by the need for online access to the library of the Department of Library Science. By creating a library site, enables the user to browse the material while enjoying the benefits of providing this electronic environment. The user thus has the opportunity to visit the library from home, without time limits, thus having access to information. Access to knowledge is the main purpose of the site and any site of a library in general. They should be provided in the online user, novice or experienced, the comfort to search the library catalog without being required any knowledge on the use of web sites or the importance librarianship terms. Besides ultimate goal of online library is to attract the public and not to discourage.

Η εργασία προέκυψε λόγω της ανάγκης για διαδικτυακή πρόσβαση στο υλικό του σπουδαστηρίου του Τμήματος Βιβλιοθηκονομίας. Με τη δημιουργία ιστότοπου σε μια βιβλιοθήκη, δίνεται η δυνατότητα στο χρήστη να περιηγηθεί στο υλικό απολαμβάνοντας τα πλεονεκτήματα που του παρέχει το ηλεκτρονικό αυτό περιβάλλον. Ο χρήστης με αυτό τον τρόπο έχει τη δυνατότητα να επισκεφτεί τη βιβλιοθήκη από το σπίτι του, χωρίς χρονικά περιθώρια, έχοντας έτσι πρόσβαση στην πληροφορία. Η πρόσβαση στη γνώση είναι ο κυριότερος σκοπός της ιστοσελίδας και οποιοδήποτε ιστότοπου μιας βιβλιοθήκης γενικότερα. Πρέπει να παρέχεται στον online χρήστη, αρχάριο ή έμπειρο, η άνεση να ψάξει στον κατάλογο της βιβλιοθήκης χωρίς να του είναι απαραίτητες οποιεσδήποτε γνώσεις πάνω στη χρήση ιστοσελίδων ή στη σημασία βιβλιοθηκονομικών όρων. Άλλωστε απώτερος σκοπός της online βιβλιοθήκης είναι να προσελκύσει το κοινό και όχι να το αποθαρρύνει.
