Abstract: This paper explains the various aspects of service quality and total quality management in hospitality organizations. In addition, an innovative model (the HOSTQUAL) that can be used for defining the extent to which the implementation of a total quality programme in a hospitality service firm meets the desired objectives, is conceptually developed and proposed.
