Abstract

This paper aims to examine the presentation and dimensions of the current global economic crisis, the functioning of the Greek banks and the financial crisis. Initially, there is a presentation of the economic crisis and thorough discussion of the definition, the cause, the support mechanism, the cause and the consequences thereof. Then described the banking sector in Greece, the regulatory framework concerning him, and the link that connects the Greek economy. Then, the effect of the financial crisis discussed in the Greek banking system and the ways followed to tackle the crisis. Finally, given the conclusions which emerged through work.
