The report of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on education in Greece in conjunction with the findings of the National Dialogue Commission on Education (2016) has highlighted the importance of upgrading of education at all levels and the legislation of a support project concerning this upgrade. It is a fact that the frequent cuts that limit the capital investment on education understate the importance of it. Youth education has been affected by frequent changes that are not working effectively. Economic and political factors degrade material and human resources and affect the education provided. When the European Commission presented and evaluated Greek policy measures in the framework of the Education and Training Monitoring Report (2016) realized that effective education is a major part of the future national strategy. Based on the recent results of national and social dialogue on education, two axes define education: the knowledge society and the digital era. Now that society is in the midst of political and economic changes, education is being modernized. Therefore, it is important to identify the areas that will help education make use of the reforms introduced by state actors. The aim of the restructuring is not only the reduction of inequalities, but also the democratic education, the school's autonomy, the strengthened educational and collective responsibility of state actors involved and its active members. The aim of this research study is to present the comparison of the OECD report and the findings of the National Dialogue Commission on Education (2016), the analysis of primary research data on the above mentioned comparison, the conclusions drawn from it and the proposals for upgrading of education
