This paper is an effort to apply the basic principles of financial analysis for companies producing and standardizing flour, presenting their most recent published financial data. Specifically, these two companies are ΜΥΛΟΙ ΛΟΥΛΟΙ and ΜΥΛΟΙ ΚΕΠΕΝΟΣ. At the beginning of this paper, the meanings, as well as the methods of financial analysis, are presented. After this comes the analysis of financial statements for the two companies, such as the balance sheet, the income statement and the profit distribution table, which are really important for drawing the appropriate conclusions. This is followed by the indexes analysis, which is equally significant. In addition to that, general data for the flour industry in Greece, a really important industry, are presented, followed by the analysis of the process of cultivating, producing and standardizing flour. It is worth mentioning that there is a growing interest for flour investments, as it is an important economic factor. However, due to the financial crisis the consumption of flour in Greece and EU has declined. Furthermore, financial and general data about the companies are mentioned and their financial indexes are analyzed. In the end, their financial indexes are compared with the use of the corresponding diagrams.
