With the development of technology, the rapid growth of telecommunications and the Internet, it is possible to create new ways of communication between the teacher and the student. New training methods enrich the traditional educational process. One of these is elearning implemented through electronic platforms like Moodle. This diploma thesis explores the effect of the platform on the learning process. For this purpose, a survey is being carried out in which teachers use the Moodle online platform in a postgraduate studies program (PSP) in which part of the lessons are conducted live and another part using the platform. Teachers' views on the use of the Moodle platform as a tool for distance learning are being examined. The aim is to investigate whether the Moodle platform in the PSP supports personalized learning, enhances interaction with content and participants, and communication between participants. Another objective is to investigate whether they propose the platform as a teaching tool for their students. The findings of the survey show, among other things, that teachers using e-learning environments, and specifically the Moodle platform as trainees, are developing a more positive attitude, and in the majority of them they suggest extending their use to secondary education. The above justifies the effort of installing the platform in more and more educational environments, thus giving the opportunity for a larger part of the educational community (teachers and pupils) to benefit from the possibilities offered by its use. Finally, the process of installation, configuration and implementation of the Moodle platform in a secondary school, and in particular in the Vocational High School (EPAL) of Kalambaka is presented aiming to familiarize and use the platform by teachers and students as well as to improve the educational opportunities offered to pupils living in remote and inaccessible areas.
