Μαθαίνοντας την ημερήσια κατανομή φόρτου εργασιών του διευθυντή ενός σύγχρονου σχολείου μέσω συστηματικής καταγραφής (Master thesis)

In the present study we investigate the daily allocation of the workload of modern
school directors. The modern school directors’ role is considered as determinant for
the school’s smooth operation and, also, for the better provision of educational
services. In fact, nowadays, the school director is charged with lots of
responsibilities, so that his time is limited and his workload makes his career difficult.
Consequently, many strategies are proposed today for the school directors’ better time
management, which will have as a consequence a more effective school management.
For the investigation of the directors’ daily workload, a quantitative research took
place, by using questionnaires, in which directors of primary education of Salonica
and Fthiotida department have answered. The most important foundings of the
research showed that, generally, the directors’ daily workload has increased and they
have to face more pressure. The most popular strategies they adopt for their time
management are self- criticism and self- assessment and, also, they believe that there
are ancillary agents, as programming, hierarchy of responsibilities, information,
apportionment of responsibilities, co- operation, training and bureaucracy decrease

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα μελέτη διερευνάται η ημερήσια κατανομή του φόρτου εργασίας του
διευθυντή του σύγχρονου σχολείου. Ο ρόλος του διευθυντή στο σύγχρονο σχολείο
θεωρείται καθοριστικός για την ομαλή λειτουργία της σχολικής μονάδας, αλλά και
για την αποτελεσματικότερη και ποιοτικότερη παροχή των εκπαιδευτικών υπηρεσιών
εντός αυτής. Μάλιστα, σήμερα ο διευθυντής σχολείου είναι επιφορτισμένος με ένα
πλήθος αρμοδιοτήτων, γεγονός το οποίο μειώνει σε μεγάλο βαθμό το χρόνο του και
δυσχεραίνει την εργασιακή του πορεία, εξαιτίας του μεγάλου φόρτου εργασίας. Για
το λόγο αυτό, σήμερα προτείνονται διάφορες στρατηγικές για την αποτελεσματική
διαχείριση του χρόνου των διευθυντών, η οποία θα έχει ως συνέπεια την
αποτελεσματικότερη διαχείριση της σχολικής μονάδας. Για τη διερεύνηση του
ημερήσιου φόρτου εργασίας των διευθυντών, διεξήχθη ποσοτική έρευνα με
ερωτηματολόγια και δείγμα διευθυντές σχολείων Πρωτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης από
τους νομούς Θεσσαλονίκης και Φθιώτιδας. Τα σημαντικότερα ευρήματα της έρευνας
έδειξαν ότι ο φόρτος εργασίας των διευθυντών έχει, σε γενικές γραμμές αυξηθεί κατά
την περίοδο της οικονομικής κρίσης, ενώ ακόμη αντιμετωπίζουν μεγάλη πίεση και
βρίσκονται συνεχώς σε εγρήγορση. Οι πιο δημοφιλείς στρατηγικές τις οποίες
υιοθετούν οι διευθυντές για τη διαχείριση του χρόνου τους είναι η αυτοκριτική και η
αυτοαξιολόγηση, ενώ πιστεύουν ότι υπάρχουν παράγοντες οι οποίοι θα μπορούσαν
να λειτουργήσουν βοηθητικά σε αυτό, με κυριότερους τον προγραμματισμό, την
ιεράρχηση των προτεραιοτήτων, την ενημέρωση και τον καταμερισμό των
αρμοδιοτήτων, αλλά και τη συνεργασία, την επιμόρφωση και τη μείωση της
