The purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions and attitudes of primary education head teacher regarding continuous professional development. The study was meant to explore the will of head teachers to participate in educational programs as well as to pinpoint any possible subjects they would like to emphasize. The study used the quantitative method of a questionnaire sent to 35 primary school head teachers in Samos prefecture. The findings indicated a positive attitude towards continuous learning, and the subjects pinpointed any desired themes they felt they had the need to encapture. Moreover, the subjects embodied any concerns regarding the realization and fulfillment of such programs. Allfactorswerevaluedasimportantjudgingthattheexistenceofsuchprogramsplayanimportantroletoth esuccessfuland proper functioning of the greek primary school. The finding could be a useful guide for the implementation of a further survey emboding more criterias and more subject areas from a national point of view
