Although during the past years there has been a significant development around librarianship, still a great too many people believe that librarianship is only related to books and the librarians are those who place the books on the shelves. In contrast to this wrong belief the staff that works in a library offers important services to its users whether the library is a public one, an academic one or a school one. In particular, in the case of a school library, which constitutes the subject of this thesis the librarians are always aware because the users that they serve are way too many and their expectations are even higher. More specifically, the librarians are making efforts in order to expand in the best way they can not only the collection which is available for loan but the services they offer in order to satisfy the users of the library as well. Therefore, the acquisition of new material is constantly made based on the courses held in the college. Additionally, the services vary and they are not limited to services such as borrowing but information literacy sessions are performed by the librarians themselves. All in all, subjects and aspects such as the ones that have been mentioned above will be discussed subsequently in this thesis.
