The analysis and the implementation of the model 'Smart Tourism' (Bachelor thesis)

Greece has a long tradition in tourism and hospitality mainly due to its history and ancient civilization. Also, gastronomy can be characterized as an agent that can create visitors, so the different travel destinations can be linked in the tourist marketing. In relation to the above conditions and seeing that tourism in Greece needs to be upgraded, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels(HCH) decided to 'renew' the hotel product and make it to have a leading role in the global tourist map. In order to achieve it, it has been invented a model of smart and specialized tourism. Its target is the connection between the primordial sector of processing and tourism. Basic parameter for implementing this model is uniqueness. As a local quality fact can be characterized the idea of the "Greek Breakfast" (G.B). It focuses on Greek culinary tradition and aims to promote the richness and authenticity of local products and gastronomy, uniting hoteliers and local producers. For the literature review there was a secondary method of collecting data which was through books, scientific articles and magazines and use the internet. The purpose of this project is to emphasize the cooperation of local producers with hoteliers and also to create a chain value which will have as an axis the tourism so through this, gastronomy, culture and the natural environment to acquire a common identity.
