A significant issue faced by the Departments of Technological Institutions, is to define the curriculum schedule according to the students' choices. For example, it is very difficult to precisely calculate the number of classes per course needed for the upcoming semester. The aim of this thesis, is to show the implementation of the OLAP technology in the Information Technology Department of A.Τ.Ε.Ι. Thessaloniki for the appropriate graphic presentation of useful information regarding to the students' grades and their priorities, which will lead to planning the best possible curriculum. The stages of extraction, transformation and data loading in a data warehouse, which is especially designed and implemented in order to serve OLAP reports, are also analytically presented.
