In this paper we study the concept of the value chain, what it means, what issues arise for the business, and what are the activities carried out in a business based on the value chain. in this paper an extensive reference is made to its terms and in the next chapter we study the advantages and disadvantages of the term adapted to the concept of the value chain. We continue to look at the models of family businesses that exist on the market and what common elements to help us understand them.
The next chapter refers to the strategic planning that can be adopted by a family business as well as to the various strategic choices and strategic plans that are available and that give impetus to the enterprise that implements them. Here is the methodology of the work where on-the-spot research was conducted in family businesses in the form of interviews and the completion of questionnaires capable of giving us remarkable and complete conclusions. Our findings are confirmed by the literature. The paper ends with topics for reflection and discussion as well as with the literature used to complete its elaboration.
