This paper attempts to study the production of plants, through the institution of the nursery, which seems to be one of the cornerstones in the development of Greek economicactivity. More specifically, an attempt will be made to clarify and describe a nursery, its
management, plant production, the production process and how the seedlings are managed, by identifying land and irrigation cases. Additionally, a case study will be carried out, presenting
the above mentioned information within a real nursery. The nursery chosen is the "Garden Center" in Thessaloniki because of their financial stability and the quality of the products and services offered.
