In this small work are presented 15 archaeological monuments of Thessaloniki according to their chronology and importance. These are exclusively Christian monuments. They are temples still functioning in their majority. Aim of this work is the presentation of these monuments in connection with the history and the sufferings of the city which accommodate them and the sufferings of his citizens. The temples here presented they were build till the start of Turkish domination. A lot of them they were transmuted to mosques and they bare till today the signs of this transmutation. They are living and eternal martyrs of the history of Thessaloniki which never stopped to be inhabited for 23 centuries now. The method followed was firstly the inquiry in town’s libraries for finding relative books and then ground visitation, inquiry of every monument separately. What followed was photo shooting and video recording of every monument for his more complete presentation. In conclusion I have to mention the great importance of all this monuments not only for the history of this town and his citizens, but also for me personally, because it was a unique and newfound experience.
