The educational leadership in the day is called upon to respond to continual challenges and new roles in the direction of improving its efficiency. The management of the modern educational organization must be more effective to meet modern requirements. The bureaucrat's role is no longer thriving. Leaders of educational institutions need to be aware of management principles and be governed by a democratic leadership spirit, flexible and open to innovation. The purpose of this work is to analyze the manager's behavior and behavior and their effect on the effective management of a school unit. For this purpose, a questionnaire based on the literature and previous empirical studies was constructed and supplemented by secondary school teachers from the Western Thessaloniki Directorate. The manager must be a carrier of innovative actions to be creative and sensitive not to be afraid to show his feelings to understand the needs and aspirations of his or her subordinates. Particular should be the relationship of the manager with the teachers of the school unit and the identification of the needs of each individual as well as direct communication and daily personal contact. It is important for the manager to make decisions that support logic, justice and impartiality in order to provide a climate of security, promote pioneering ideas within the school environment, and by working with the Teachers' Club can create a better school environment for the benefit of all school pupils and teachers.
