Ορκοπούλου, Μαρία-Αικατερίνη

The new technologies are a constantly growing sector in the field of elementary schools. The new technologies can be used by teachers in the design and implementation of the learning environment, in communication, in the search for information and in the evaluation of learning outcomes. The aim of the work is to explore attitudes and perceptions of teachers about the use of new technologies, and is a case study in the prefecture of Viotia. An original questionnaire based on previous surveys was constructed for the research needs. Teachers use their personal computer in order to prepare the education material. New technologies are mainly used as a supervisory tool in classrooms, and this use depends to a significant degree on the level of study. The time pressure to cover matter is one of the main inhibitors for the re-use of new technologies. Continuous training can help teachers improve their skills and introduce new ways of teaching.
