Ανάγνωση και κατανόηση των ετικετών τροφίμων από τους καταναλωτές (Bachelor thesis)

Purpose: Identifying the factors that most affect consumers in reading nutrition
labels.
Methodology: A bibliographic review was carried out to find information on
nutrition labels A descriptive analysis of the 800 questionnaires completed, as
well as statistical tests x2 and AN.O.VA was applied. to find possible
associations of selected factors with the use of the nutrition label at the
significance level p value = 0.05 with the help of the statistical package I.B.M.
Statistical Package for Social Sciences, (S.P.S.S.) V20.
Results: Reading the nutrition label seems to be more influenced by gender,
age, educational level of consumers. There is also a correlation between BMI
level and general health status.
Discussion: It seems a little different that men are more interested in
information about their nutrition. Education is an important factor that affects
mood and interest in knowledge, and it has seemed to be true for health
issues as well. There should be a way to get informed about health and
nutrition, so that even those who do not care are interested.
