The organization and management of a poultry business are based on the principles of
Zootechnias and Economics. Their aim is the organization (planning) and management
(implementation) of the production plan, which ensures the poultry farmer, by using the
available factors of production, the biggest as possible income. The aim of the dissertation was
the recording and emergence of legislation and regulation that regulate the foundation –
construction and operation of a standard egg production unit of hens, type of breeding using
deep substrate.
The poultry egg production constitutes nowadays aw one of the best developed and well
organized branches of the greek poultry department. Domestic egg production covers at least
88,2% of demand on national level. However the legislation and complicated and involve a lot
of bureaucracy. The construction and the equipment for breeding must cover the natural needs
of the birds and protect their health and wellness. In addition it should offer comfortable
working conditions to the employees. Furthermore, the unit should not create pollution
problems to the environment. Moreover the buildings and equipment must be the most
suitable as far as technology and economy is concerned. Finally the poultry branch has been
integrated as a selected activity in programs like legislative measure 4.1, legislative measure
4.2, legislative measure 6 and investment measure 4399/2016, which support and give
prominence to this branch in our national economy.
