This paper constitutes an attempt to document and investigate work-related stress, burnout and job satisfaction in the field of people employed in the hospitality industry. It aims at investigating and documenting: a) the levels of job satisfaction and burnout of those employed on all levels in the Hospitality Industry b) the parameters/factors that influence them according to these employees c) their correlation It also aims at potentially combating any negative consequences which may arise that concern the employees as well as the employer This paper was inspired by the fact that the tourism industry constitutes an utmost important sector of the Greek Economy. Although the aforementioned industry appears to be influenced by many stressors, there are few empirical studies concerning Greece that focus on job satisfaction in this sector, while studies on stress and burnout are non existent, contrary to research conducted in other professions revolving around human communication. This paper’s documentation is based on both current literature and on a questionnaire analysis. The empirical study has yielded very interesting results. In summary, they indicate that, contrary to what may be believed, work-related stress and burnout are at a normal level while job satisfaction reaches high levels
