Οι απόψεις των εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης του νομού Κοζάνης σχετικά με την ύπαρξη ενδοσχολικών συγκρούσεων (Bachelor thesis)

The factors that affect the good operation of schools have been a very interesting issue of recent research and study. The conflict among teachers plays a key role in disrupting the relationships among them as well as the school climate. The main aim of this study is to examine the issue of conflicts among teachers of primary school education of the prefecture of Kozani. In particular, it examines the perceptions of teachers concerning their interpersonal relationships, the causes and the frequency of conflicts. Moreover, it explores the results and the ways of coping with this phenomenon. Taking into account the answers of those who participated in the survey, the research targets to selecting the best and most suitable solutions in managing every kind of conflict towards the effective operation of primary schools. More than 150 teachers of primary school education participated in this particular study. A quantitative approach was conducted and an anonymous questionnaire was used. The statistic analysis was achieved through the use of SPSS v.25. The conclusions of the study showed that teachers care about having good relationships and they try to avoid conflict when it has negative consequences and cause bad emotions. The most frequent cause of conflict is related to personal matters and its resolution is achieved by the participants. The methods of compromise and cooperation constitute the best ways of facing a conflict. Throughout the recent years, there has been a tendency for the researchers and the scientists to study the various factors that affect the effective operation of the school. One of these factors are the conflicts that appear among the teachers and influence the school climate and the relationships among the teachers.
