Tourism in the Prefecture of Pieria is an important economic size for the region. The great natural wealth of the prefecture, combined with the history of the place, make Pieria an attraction for many tourists, both from inside and outside. It is the third-largest contributor to tourism in the Region of Central Macedonia. Pieria, in addition to the traditional form of tourism in Greece, based on the "Sun and the Sea", can offer the tourist what he wants, a variety of alternative forms of tourism, contributing decisively to the tourism seasonality.
