Introduction: Cerebral palsy is the basic for all neurological diseases in children, because of the diversity of the characteristic deficits they present. At times, scientists and researchers are trying to intervene in deficits to succeed the optimal integration of these children in social activities and human relationships. Aim: The aim of this study is to present the dominant ideas and approaches that have been analyzed in the past from physiotherapists and other therapists in health science for the treatment of motor and other disorders caused by cerebral palsy. The investigation of the best possible rehabilitation is a fundamental issue and the neurophysiological approaches hold the basic principles for organization of treatment. Methodology: It has been made a literature review of research articles and scientific books in different electronical databases (such as Cochraine, Medline, Pubmed, Heal-link, Google Scholar, Scopus) and libraries. Results: The results of literature review highlight the basic principles of important approaches that therapists have put forward (Brunnstrom, Rood, Fay, Doman-Delacato, Kabat, Vojta, Bobath, Ayres), as well as the vulnerability they have encountered in the past and their current concerns about cerebral palsy. Conclusions: It is essential to follow the basic treatment principles in children with cerebral palsy and use effectively proven elements in order for an eclectic treatment to be planned, that will be focused on the main problems of children and their needs for social activities. More studies and researchers are needed to prove the effectiveness of those existing approaches.
