The aim of the technical-vocational school (EPAL) is to reduce unemployment by increasing the knowledge and skills of the workforce and technical workforce, the elimination of various social problems, the more effective social integration of individuals, the enhancement of labor productivity and the provision of suitable skilled workers who will be able to meet the various productive needs. This fact was recognized in various developed countries such as the United States of America and England, who introduced the statute of «Mentoring» (and/or Counseling) in the various educational levels. Mentoring in education promotes learning, teaching, and harmonious coexistence in school through mutual participation in the educational process. As in the international educational framework, in the Greek educational settings school mentoring aims to support students, promote effective learning, and achieve the smooth coexistence of all students through their involvement in the educational process. The role of the teacher-mentor is constantly adapted and improved through the daily friction, the current conditions and the evaluation of the students. With this institution, the school becomes more intimate and less impersonal for the student. Students now know where to turn for information and support about their school life, goals and curriculum. The aim of this dissertation was the examination, analysis and recording of the views of the teachers-mentors regarding the effectiveness and the prospects of the institution of the teaching advisor in EPAL. To achieve this goal a sample of 10 people were selected who were asked to answer 5 questions through the interview process. While there is a willingness and will to improve the effectiveness of the institution, the obstacles are many with the consequence that the teachers-mentors face several problems. There is no clear picture regarding the effectiveness of the institution for both themselves and the students; however there are many prospects for future development of the institution in more educational levels.
