Ο συσχετισμός του εργασιακού εκφοβισμού με τον Μακιαβελικό ηγέτη (Bachelor thesis)

The present study aims to investigate the various manifestations of the phenomenon of bullying that occurs in the workplace and is known as “mobbing”. In Greek literature references to this phenomenon is limited, while in the international literature a systematic study began in the 1980s. This dark side of leadership existed since people began to work in groups and organizations, but preoccupied in recent years the research community more because of the serious consequences it causes to employees and organizations. More specifically, it was considered primarily necessary to clarify the term of leadership, as well as the elements that differentiate the different types of leadership. Through this report, the impetus was given for a more thorough examination of the Dark Leadership, with an emphasis on the derailment of the Leader. The Machiavelli leader was one who monopolized the interest, and then the causes of work-bullying presented, as are resulting from this effect. The main focus of this research was the research questions that were attempted to be answered, on how much there is a correlation between workplace bullying and the leadership style adopted in each case and whether it further affects the satisfaction and well-being of employees. After conducting the primary survey with a structured questionnaire, which took place through a collection of responses from employees who held different management positions in the workplace, resulted in a direct relationship between the two "problematic" leadership as a leader's self-promotion is often achieved with arbitrariness. On the other hand, the relationship between Employee Satisfaction and Cohesion was positive, as expected, as when employees are satisfied with their work, the cohesion of the team is favored. Also it was clearly confirmed that the manifestations of dark leadership behaviors greatly eliminate the satisfaction and cohesion of the employee team. Finally, a critical and comparative analysis of the approaches of the subject, made by the researchers, is attempted.
