Οι απόψεις των παιδαγωγών για τους παιδικούς σταθμούς ως δομή υποστήριξης των παιδιών προσχολικής ηλικίας (Master thesis)

In the present assignment, the views of the managers, the educators and the educators’ assistants about kindergarten were investigated in matters of administration, education, work burnout, cooperation of parents and kindergarten and finally, transformation of the kindergarten into a learning organization. The assignment begins with a bibliographic overview of the issues creating the base for the research process. In the assignment questionnaires with questions on the Likert scale were used and 123 preschool teachers of public and private kindergartens in Greece with specialties of kindergarten teachers, babysitters and babysitters’ assistants answered. The data were entered and analyzed in the program Statistical Package for Social Sciences - SPSS. The research findings showed that the educators as a whole were women with a percentage of 100%, 61% of the sample consists of educators, with 1-10 years of experience at a rate of 35,2%. In the questions with reference to administration, the sample pronounced the collaboration between director and educator is considered “very important”, while for interpersonal relationships the sample was “greatly” identified with mutual respect and trust. Finally, it attributed to the suspending factors for the creation of interpersonal relationships to the “negative behavior by the director”. With regard to education, the sample showed that “it has taken” and “it would take part in educational seminars in the future”. As far as the professional burnout is concerned, the respondents in total do not feel a professional burnout. In the field of kindergarten-family cooperation, the majority of the respondents consider “parents’ participation in the kindergarten important”. Afterwards, on the subject of the transformation of the kindergarten into a learning organization, the respondents answered that they lay emphasis on “the education of children”, which also forms the basis of the transformation of the kindergarten. It is worth mentioning that on the educators’ side “they reconsider their point of view after group discussions or based on new information”, element for a change
