The investigation of nurses’ tendency and intention to move to an administrative position, concerning their workplace, as well as the role burnout, satisfaction from the current job position and motivation, play The research sample was 311 employed nurses from different Greek hospitals. Maslach Buntout Inventoty (MBI) and Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) questionnaires were used to collect data. Incentives leading to a tendency to mone onto administrative posotions, were based on the Jurkiewicz & Brown (1998) study, who used these specific factors in order to examine their level of importance. At the bottom of the whole questionnaire, four questions created by the researcher, were placed. Concerning the data processing, the Statisical Package for Social Sciances v23.0 (SPSS) software, was used. The research sample showed a moderate level of emotional exhaustion (45%), high rates of depersonalization (45.3%), as well as personal achievements (49.8%). Total job satisfaction from their current participants’ position, was at doubtful levels (63.7%). 59.5% of the participants would like a transition to an administrative position, while 53.7% from the 311 participants - a quite close perventage to the one just mentioned - have already done acts concerning a transition. Reducing burnout and stress, were the most important of the transition-to-an administrative-position, incentive, while salary (with a 26.4% disagreement) was not such an important one. In the end, research participants replied that a possible move onto an administrative position, whould improve their life conditions, mostly concerning the working ones (74.3%)
