Several life changes have been identified as stressful processes for children and their families, as social and academic skills are ever changing during the course of the first school years. This is the reason why it is necessary for the school, family and community to cooperate. The schools (kindergarten - elementary) can support children’s transitional readiness through collaboration and by implementing policies and curriculums. School staff, parents and the state will by engaging into active collaboration play a crucial role in the transitional process and will guarantee its success. When the educational process is being interrupted it has been observed that children are put under stress which hinders them from developing social skills and
creates educational barriers. Children with special educational needs or some form of disability and their families are facing considerable problems when transitioning between different school environments throughout the first years of childhood. There are certain activities that would bridge the gap between a kid’s home environment,
kindergarten and primary school to provide a sense of continuity.
It is of the utmost importance that the kid’s development is closely
monitored by the social services, parental support services and by the preschool educational system in order to make sure that the best strategy is chosen for the kid given its unique set of needs
