This thesis is a continuation of the group effort to create an electronic catalogue for the Municipal Library of Sindos. In short, it concerns the organization and library processing of the material from the import of the documents, to the process of cataloguing, subject indexing and classification in the automated Koha system, to the physical processing of the material to make it ready for public use. The first chapter provides an introduction to libraries, and in particular to municipal libraries, in terms of their history, basic characteristics and services. The second chapter contains general information about the Municipal Library of Sindos "Charalambos Lysarides", both about its history and its current state. The third chapter discusses the process of preparing the thesis, the methods and the overall steps that were carried out for the processing of the printed material of the library. The fourth chapter analyses the open source software Koha, its electronic environment and the process of cataloguing the records in the system. The fifth chapter presents all the records entered in the electronic catalogue. Finally, in the sixth chapter, indexes of Greek and foreign authors, titles and established topics as well as the bibliography are available.
