The present dissertation research focused on the use of augmented reality technology in the field of preschool education. First of all, a review of research was conducted, examining the use of augmented reality applications in preschool children for educational purposes. The review highlights several AR applications, specifically in language and science learning as well as the pedagogical benefits in preschool. On another note, it emphasizes children's whole development and a holistic approach to learning for acquiring 21st-century skills. Furthermore, it is imperative that the education of the development of people with ecological consciousness are needed, as environmental protection is one of the most important issues of our time. Therefore, the research focuses on environmental education and the use of augmented reality in preschool-aged children. The proposal suggests creating and using an augmented reality application for children, focusing on a storytelling about the importance of the Earth and respect for it. The intervention's goal is to raise students' learning outcomes and enhancing children's interest in environmental-related subjects. It is worth mentioning that by combining the digital audio-visual content of the application, children will develop critical thinking and understand the effects of human behavior on the natural environment.
