The following teaching scenarios aim to utilize the presence of an Arduino unit in teaching the subject of Technology in Secondary Education, so as for the students to make first contact with the Arduino, familiarize themselves with its core capabilities and eventually integrate it in a project of their own. The aim is not to instruct the students on how to write elaborate and complex pieces of code, but instead to focus on enabling them to write simple programs on the Arduino IDE framework, understand – through the scenarios they will be shown – how to configure an array of sensors, how the commands given are executed by the actuators, and give students the tools necessary for them to modify sample code available online to fit to their needs and goals.
